How does NSI® Gamma E Complex work?
Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin that comes in eight forms—half exist as tocopherols and the other half as tocotrienols. Broken down further, there is an alpha, beta, delta and gamma form of both, each with its own potency and biological activity. Alpha-tocopherol is the most active form of vitamin E in the body.
Vitamin E is a potent antioxidant, protecting cells from the detrimental effects of free radicals. It contributes to a healthy heart and a healthy cardiovascular system. In addition, vitamin E supports good cholesterol levels by limiting the oxidation of LDL-cholesterol. It also boosts the immune system and supports healthy eyes and vision.
Vitamin E is found in vegetable oils, nuts, soybeans, green leafy vegetables and whole grains. Vitamin E deficiency may occur in those who cannot absorb fat since some dietary fat is necessary for vitamin E to be absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract.
